Howls of the Night

Go to any hip hotel in the evening and you will find yourself in what would appear to be a den of werewolves.

Humans howling at moon.  You will hear noises only thought to be animalistic:  Grunting, moaning, barking, squealing, squawking, yelping, roaring, snarling, yapping, woofing, and yipping.

Folks, it never gets old!

Walking the floors of my hotel, I find myself stepping into the wild.  It’s amazing how related human beings and animals truly are at the core level.

And I don’t just mean those who are performing the deeds of copulation. The very sound of two people going at it triggers something in my ears.  It peaks my interest.  And if I’m walking the halls with two other people, you better believe there will be six ears listening intently to the sounds of the night.

What is this about?  Why do we human beings never grow old of sex?

I’ll never forget this one night, I was delivering a fax to a room around 1 a.m. and heard what sounded like a train departing. It was screeching at a decibel level only a steam-powered engine could make.

Apparently I wasn’t the only one hearing the noise, because security had been dispatched.  Minutes later, two security guards stormed down the hall as if 20 seconds remained on a time bomb.

I followed security for “backup.”  I couldn’t resist such an adventure.

Security hammered away on the door where the sound protruded.

“Hotel security!”

More moaning, more grunting, more ass slapping.

“Hotel security!”

The climax was occurring.  The gal was oohing and ahhing. “Don’t Stop!  DON’T STOP!”

“Hotel Security!”

“Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhh!!!!!”

There was a silence.

We all waited.

The security guards and I caught each others eyes with mischief glowing.

This was too good to be true.

Seconds later, a petite Asian girl came to the door wrapped in a sheet.

“Yes.”

“Mam, we got complaints about the noise level.  We need to ask you to keep it down,”  one security guard says.

“Okay.”

She shuts the door.  Seconds later, we hear the moaning begin.  A gentle moan.  She was getting her groove on.  And nothing could stop her.

As we walked away from her lair, I found myself and the security guards laughing our asses off like little boys at recess.  It was youth like bliss.  All this fun and glee over the sound of human beings getting it on.

I couldn’t help, but think of how great the simple things in life are.  Free, wild, and fun.

Any night of the week, I’m not sure what animal I’ll run into on the floor, but my senses are ready.  Surprise me.  I’m out in the Wild.

Take a stroll down that hotel hallway, you’ll never know what adventure you’re in for.
